Construction Phase Health and Safety Plans

Posted 20 February 2024

If you act as a contractor or principal contractor, you will require a construction phase health and safety plan for your construction projects. You can find templates for these on the HSE website and also CITB. These may be suitable and sufficient for smaller projects that are lower risk.

For more complex projects, you will need to ensure that the hazards relevant to the project are addressed in your construction phase plan. We have many clients who find that using our services to work with them to produce a robust construction phase health and safety plan is of benefit in terms of their time and resources, whilst ensuring that relevant hazards are considered in the process.

Our construction phase plans also include tools for the ongoing management of health and safety on a construction project including:

  • • site manager's health and safety inspections
  • • permits to work
  • • scaffold; and
  • • plant checks

If you think you could benefit from this or similar services, please do not hesitate to contact us.
